About
An assortment of glossy, modular sculptures in silver and jet red adorn the interior and exterior of the Kabinett in the largest scale installation to date. Lustrous and chintzy, the sculpture resembles giant Christmas baubles, or tacky Jeff Koons dupes.
Without a certain shape, the objects’ balloon-like silhouette and ornate surface attracts immediate attention under the shimmering sun. They seem almost garish and out of place, drawing even more attention to the already non-conspicuous placement of the Kabinett at the edge of the sidewalk. This showy intervention flaunts its peculiarity, and relishes its interception of the public realm.
