Victoria p Gill by Gallery No. 32: Flex
17-28 June, 2024

About
London residents pay out constantly just to keep our heads above the water while we scramble in our purses below the surface. Our growing rent, council tax, energy bills, and all of the levys and tariffs we pay to exist in the country’s capital each become an act of maintenance.
Offering a critique of this within the Kabinett, the former bus inspectors’ kiosk becomes transformed into a contemplation space.
Artist Victoria P. Gill explores the ways that we live and exist in cities. Originally from Leeds, she is now living and working in London, using her practice to recognise the ways in which we cope, manage and counteract the high costs that we have to shoulder.
Throughout the show you are invited to sit inside and browse the “catalogue” of the sculptures and prices.
You will be able to view the sculptures in person at the location two evenings only: Thursday 20th and Thursday 27th. 6-8PM.
The artist and No.32 will be present.
