KABINETT KEFFIYEH
15 Aug—25 Oct, 2025

About
Kabinett Keffiyeh was a paper installation enrobing the Crystal Kabinett in black and white keffiyeh pattern in three different sizes.

The Kabinett’s interior door includes an informative breakdown of the Palestinian keffiyeh and its various symbolic patterns.
The text was directly inspired from an educational presentation for children as part of a fundraising event staged by a local community organisation, Crystal Palace Friends of Palestine (CPFP) to help raise awareness about the Palestinian struggle against Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.
As always, the Kabinett Library also includes a curated selected of books and reading materials available for free to anyone looking to read, learn, and engage in community exchange.
After over 25 years of US-sponsored movies and computer games depicting keffiyehs as an incendiary or radical cloth, Kabinett Keffiyeh seeks to spread its actual origin story.
Palestinian poet Hafiza Ibrahim read a passage for Anas Al-Sharif, a Palestinian journalist working for Al Jazeera who was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike on a media tent on 10 August, 2025.

Established in 2021, Crystal Palace Friends of Palestine aims to inspire those who know little about Palestine to join the growing movement against apartheid.
