Sara Boroujeni : Dream Baby
11/09, 2025

About
First exhibited at TAK Berlin in August 2025, Dream Baby is a sculptural installation by Berlin-based artist Sara Boroujeni that transform a quiet street corner into a site of tension, balance, and illusion.
In one Kabinett, a dozen delicate ceramic cast baby faces press against one another, stacked seemingly haphazardly within a tight frame.
Completely filling the small space, they seem to balance each other by sheer density: an image of fragility held together by fullness.
In contrast, a second Kabinett contains only a single face, elegantly suspended from a ledge as though it is floating. Alone, it hovers in space, its presence magnified by its isolation.
Together, these paired works amplify the themes at the heart of Dream Baby: cycles of making and unmaking, the labour of survival, and the gestures we repeat when continuity is fractured.
Neither doll nor portrait, the faces are projections — mirages of presence conjured from absence.
Dream Baby is on view now at Dreysestrasse 17 and Pritzwalker Str. 10
