Now on view at Mariannenplatz is a new work by multimedia Berlin-based artist Kristijan Radaković, who transforms a discarded chair into a monument to renewal and resilience.

Using his signature flocking technique, Radaković envelops surfaces in a velvety texture, simultaneously concealing and elevating the material substrate.

The work explores the overlooked: objects, spaces, and communities at the margins of visibility, and invites viewers to rethink identity, belonging, and the potential for what society discards.

Drawing on ecological and posthuman ideas, Radaković envisions human and nonhuman life as interconnected bodies of water, while engaging with underground and transient spaces to reveal hidden forms of social and political possibility.

“Take a Seat” is an intimate encounter with transformation, care, and collective imagination.
